Dr. Joni Yamamoto is a practicing medical doctor in Calhoun, Ga. She received her education at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Southern Regional AHEC.  She married her physician husband, Chris and returned to Calhoun, GA to start practicing family medicine. She has been an active physician for 15 years. She had her children while getting her start in medicine. Her father was a physician in Calhoun, GA for many years.

She and her husband have three children and she enjoys spending her time with them. Dr. Joni Yamamoto has received the Outstanding Patient Experience Reward from for the years 2017, 2018, and 2019. She also received the Patient Safety Reward for the same years. She has one dedicated nurse that works with her and they are very in tune as to what their patients’ needs are and will call you at home just to make sure you’re okay.
