Female Viagra en Suisse

Female Viagra en Suisse

I know very little about Viagra. I think it’s a little blue pill that works magic for men whose bodies can’t accommodate their desires. I know even less about Viagra femme en Suisse, and can’t see how the workings of the little blue pill could help my gender so I googled it. I found out that Viagra was prescribed for women who were experiencing low sexual desire but was not proven effective.

I also learned that the drugs referred to as Female Viagra are, in fact, nothing like its male counterpart. They are not the same medications nor are they designed to work the same way. These are not for the lady whose body cannot accommodate her desire but for the woman who lacks desire and has a low sex drive. This condition is referred to as hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) or female sexual interest/arousal disorder (FSIAD). While there are many women who experience this condition at some point in their lives due to the stresses of daily life (pregnancy, relationship troubles, lack of intimacy, menopause), there is a small percentage of the female population, roughly ten percent (10%), who find that this condition to be distressing to them. These are the women who may be treated with the medications sometimes referred to as female Viagra.

Low libido

There are two drugs that have been approved by the FDA to address a low libido in women. The medications are Flibanserin (Addyi) and Bremelanotide (Vyleesi). These drugs both work to increase the activity of neurotransmitters in the brain. The neurotransmitters are chemical messengers that are instrumental in triggering a sense of sexual arousal in women. These medications are typically prescribed to premenopausal women who are concerned about their low sexual desire.

Flibanserin: first HSDD drug

The first HSDD drug approved by the FDA in 2015 is Addyi, a pink pill that is taken every evening. Originally prescribed as an antidepressant, Addyi has been found to increase sexual desire in some cases. It does not work consistently and it does come with side effects that include low blood pressure, dizziness and fainting, especially when mixed with alcohol so women are advised not to consume  alcohol while taking Addyi. It takes approximately six (6) weeks for the drug to become effective and if there is no noticeable increase in desire after eight (8) weeks, patients are recommended to stop taking the drug.

Vyleesi for women

Vyleesi is the second drug approved by the FDA  to treat HSDD. Approved in June 2019, Vyleesi is a self administered injection in the belly or thigh, that, similar to viagra for men, should be taken by women forty five (45) minutes before sex. Because the effects of the drug can last up to twenty four (24) hours, it is recommended to limit the injections to no more than one (1) in a twenty four (24) hour period and no more than eight (8) per month. The sife effects of this drug include darkening of the skin and gums.

Unlike Viagra that addresses a physical problem experienced by men by relaxing a muscle and increasing blood flow, the drugs referred to as female Viagra, Addyi and Vyleesi, work to increase the production of chemical compounds in the brain and have proven to be somewhat effective in increasing sexual desire in premenopausal women.

  4. The first time I bought female viagra I thought I had wasted my money. I bought it because a friend told me that it worked, I really felt scared when I took the pill, but after a while I started to feel like having sex, much more than normal, it was an uncomfortable experience at first. At that time I did not have a man in my life to have sex, but today I have a boyfriend and we both use viagra.

  5. You wouldn’t think it, but us ladies have problems with getting excited too once we hit a certain age. Sildenafil was a Godsend for me and my relationship with my lover. Before it, I just didn’t feel in the mood. Now, I was excited and eager, and ready to make love. It was great to watch him smile and be excited for the first time in months, just as I was.

  6. I never figured that women could experience sexual dysfunction like men did. I just figured it was a normal part of life as you got older until I realized I was inching towards menopause. When I talked to my doctor about it, they prescribed Sildenafil, and it’s become such a game changer in the bedroom.
